DESCRIPTION

The Global Corporate Employee Relations (GCER) team at Amazon is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to support Latin American (LATAM) AWS business lines. This position requires an individual who has significant employee and labor relations experience, deep subject matter knowledge, and strong communication and interpersonal skills that enable the individual to work successfully on a broad spectrum of employee and labor relations issues and projects.

Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across LATAM to align, drive, and execute employee and labor relations strategies and initiatives

Provide expert consultation and coaching to HR, managers, and business leaders on complex employee matters

Conduct employee experience assessments and monitor workforce sentiment indicators to proactively identify pain points, develop targeted mitigation strategies, and address employee concerns at the earliest opportunity

Work directly with Amazon employees at all levels to identify, address, and resolve concerns through mechanisms like listening sessions, focus groups, conflict resolution, and one-on-one coaching

Diagnose gaps and revise people programs, policies, and practices to sustain positive Employee Relations and proactively mitigate risk

Design and deliver training programs on positive employee relations, and leadership best practices in partnership with Employment Legal teams

Analyze and synthesize a variety of data sources to identify emerging trends, predictive patterns, and areas of opportunity across employee relations domains

Translate insights into actionable and compelling recommendations for business leaders through regular reporting requirements; actively engage AI tooling to augment Employee Relations reporting, analysis, and process improvements

Assist in strategic business writing or contributing/leading the development of business operational documents and strategic initiatives

Successfully manage and resolve conflicts at all levels of the organization in partnership with HR

The individual will also work reactively on critical employee relations issues that are crisis-oriented and escalated by business leadership and/or HR. These matters are often time-sensitive, requiring swift resolution under pressure. Balancing time between strategic projects and crisis-response is a critical component for success in this role.
