The Opportunity
We are looking for a Retail Design & Visual Merchandising Specialist to join the international Carolina Herrera Fragrances team in Barcelona on a temporary maternity cover contract.
In this creative and hands-on role, you will support the design and implementation of high-quality permanent retail spaces and point-of-sale materials, ensuring consistency with the Carolina Herrera brand image across international markets.
The role will focus particularly on the development of permanent spaces for the makeup category, making previous experience in makeup retail highly valued.
What you'll get to do
Design functional and visually impactful permanent retail spaces, fixtures and POS materials.
Develop creative concepts, technical drawings and production files.
Support the development of makeup retail spaces, including grid systems and permanent displays.
Select materials and construction solutions, and follow up on prototypes and mock-ups.
Coordinate projects from creative development through production and market implementation.
Validate manufacturing plans, prototypes and samples with suppliers.
Ensure quality and consistency across international and locally produced POS materials.
Maintain and update corporate guidelines, master files and permanent image documentation.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Go-to-Market, Digital, Education and operational teams.
Understand local market needs and propose solutions that improve visibility and the customer journey.
We'd love to meet you if you have
Degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in retail design or visual merchandising, ideally within beauty, makeup, luxury or fashion.
Strong creative and aesthetic sensibility with excellent attention to detail.
Experience managing projects across creative development, production and implementation.
Knowledge of materials, fixtures and production processes.
Strong AutoCAD skills; SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are highly valued.
Collaborative, proactive and well organised, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Fluent English and Spanish are essential.
