Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Event Manager to oversee and coordinate a variety of events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. Duties

Plan and coordinate all aspects of events from inception to completion, including venue selection, logistics, catering, entertainment, and décor.

Manage event budgets and optimise upselling opportunities to maximise revenue.

Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored event solutions.

Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all elements are executed according to plan.

Supervise on-site staff to guarantee smooth operations during events.

Handle guest services efficiently, resolving any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.

Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venue staff to ensure timely delivery of services and resources.

Implement effective time management strategies to meet deadlines and minimise disruptions.

Maintain detailed organisational records for each event for future reference and continuous improvement.

Requirements

2+ years of experience

Proven experience in event management within hospitality or related sectors such as hotels or restaurants is highly desirable.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.

Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members.

Demonstrated ability in upselling additional services or products during events.

Experience in fundraising or guest services is advantageous.

Sound knowledge of hospitality operations and customer service standards.

Exceptional time management skills with a proactive approach to planning and problem-solving.

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
