About the role
Your mission
At Wandelbots, we're building NOVA, a platform that makes robot programming accessible to everyone. Our Simulation team is driving forward exactly the foundation NOVA relies on: realistic, scalable simulation environments that shorten the path from the physical cell into the cloud.
As a Simulation & Robotics Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of robotics simulation, cloud infrastructure, and cutting-edge rendering pipelines powered by AI. Your main focus will be building and automating our Gaussian Splatting pipeline, while making sure our simulation solution can be rolled out reliably as a cloud product to our customers. Experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Omniverse is a welcome bonus.
This role is for someone who doesn't just write code, but consistently thinks through technical decisions from the customer's perspective - and who moves effortlessly between deep technical rigor and a pragmatic approach to new technologies.
You'll help shape what comes next:
Build and automate our Gaussian Splatting pipeline with the goal of an end-to-end workflow from video to finished simulation
Develop control logic and behavior models (Behavior Trees) for robotic systems
Bring our simulation solution to customers as a cloud product, including Kubernetes operation and scaling
Optionally, help evolve our simulation environment with NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Omniverse
Use AI coding tools deliberately and in a structured way, without compromising on code quality
Work closely with Engineering and Product, and bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Solve technical challenges independently and communicate trade-offs openly and transparently
Your profile
Technical skills:
Experience with Gaussian Splatting pipelines, with the goal of end-to-end automation from video to finished simulation
Experience in the Gaussian Splatting environment
Cloud knowledge and Kubernetes, as the solution is rolled out to customers as a cloud product
Programming skills matching our team stack (Python, C++)
Confident use of AI coding tools, combined with a structured way of working and a high standard for code quality
Nice to have:
Experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Omniverse
Way of working:
Customer-oriented mindset in technical decision-making
Ability to mediate between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Independent problem-solving with open communication of trade-offs
Pragmatic view of new technologies in the AI and robotics space
What matters most to us:
Strong communication skills, including on critical or uncomfortable topics
You show up openly in the team and don't hide behind tasks or challenges
Strong collaboration skills working with Engineering and Product
Proactive in identifying topics rather than working in a purely reactive way

About us
EASY-TO-USE-ROBOTICS FOR EVERYONE
Imagine a world with more room to unleash our unique cognitive strengths at work. A world where all people – whether craftsmans, blue-collars worker or engineers – have access to automation technologies that perform inhuman, monotonous and high-precision tasks much more efficiently than we do.
At Wandelbots, we're fundamentally reshaping the way to work with robots. We eliminate the complexity and develop easy-to-use solutions to speed up automation and empower everyone to work with industrial robots and beyond.
Mission
2017 founded, Wandelbots employs more than 100 people from 14 countries today. From our headquarters in Dresden Germany, we are giving our heart and soul to follow our mission, to empower everybody to easily work with robots.
Our Culture
Wandelbots’ team culture is deeply driven by our purpose and values. We love autonomy, high fives, and every kind of cake. We celebrate team efforts and learning moments. We grow through feedback and honor kindness and empathy. We build waterslides and invent anti-racism campaigns. We are creative, innovative and blessed with a can-do attitude.
