About the role
POSITION SUMMARY
The employee is responsible for providing input to a cross-functional group to utilize inventory and assign revision implementation dates while minimizing impact to Operations. They will focus on current inventory analysis, current demand and inventory needs, open POs, and revision change over. They will be responsible for providing updates to Manufacturing Engineering, MDM (Master Data Management) CCO (Commercialization Change Order) Team, Local Planning/Buying, and occasionally Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Determine and define inventory levels of specified items
Provide clear item coverage, communicating when current inventory will be utilized
Use item lead times as an input to define items that are “at risk”
Identify any open purchase orders at risk due to revision changeover
Coordinate with local Purchasing team on target dates for revision changeover
Ensure updates are provided to cross-functional teams timely in order to meet a strict SLA
Maintain an organized and well-defined item tracking system that is easily accessible to cross-functional teams
Proactively communicate the need to manage open purchase orders and revision integrity with local Purchasing team
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to understand material dispositions and collaborate to minimize impacts on Operations (minimize scrap, rework, and inventory costs)
Support material availability and ensure no disruptions due to revision changeover
Serve as primary point of contact between local Purchasing team and MDM Operations team
Gather, scrub, manipulate data to generate average to complex reports and analysis related to Part and Supplier requirement
Ensure predefined process is followed to ensure accuracy of information
Maintain task tracking sheet for CCO revision updates, input new items, monitor stakeholders’ approval and aging and for closure items
Maintain knowledge of products and parts
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Intermediate MS Excel knowledge
Intermediate MS PowerPoint knowledge
Strong written and communication skills
Experience in using ERP system
Basic knowledge and experience on Bill of Materials Management and Item Creation in ERP
Knowledge and experience in using Power BI
3-5 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or manufacturing environment
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field (Business, Engineering, etc.) or Equivalent Work Experience
- Bilingual
