Role Purpose
We are looking for a pragmatic Solution Architect to define, validate, and govern architecture principles for internal applications, automation platforms, Datalake environments, and integration layers.
The role is focused on building scalable, maintainable, secure, and standardized solutions while avoiding technical fragmentation, duplicated logic, shadow pipelines, and uncontrolled parallel systems.
The candidate must have solid experience in Datalake architecture and data processing platforms, with a good understanding of the full data chain: ingestion, messaging, batch/stream processing, storage, serving, visualization, monitoring, and AI-ready architecture.
Responsibilities:
Define architecture principles and technical standards.
Validate technical designs when required.
Define versioning standards.
Challenge technical fragmentation.
Validate exceptions to standard architecture.
Prevent duplicate logic, shadow pipelines, and parallel systems.
Support rollout readiness from an architecture perspective.
Define architecture patterns for internal applications, APIs, automation tools, and integration flows.
Define and validate Datalake architecture patterns across ingestion, messaging, processing, storage, serving, visualization, and monitoring layers.
Support technical choices around cron-based, event-based, batch, near-real-time, and streaming architectures.
Lead technical design sessions and create architecture documentation.
Evaluate new technologies and support strategic technical decisions.
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, observable, secure, and supportable.
Support future AI-related use cases by ensuring the architecture can expose reliable data, clean integration patterns, and reusable components.
Promote best practices and support technical guidance for development teams.
Required Experience
Previous experience as Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Platform Architect, or similar role.
Strong experience in Datalake architecture.
Good understanding of data ingestion, data collection, messaging queues, data repositories, batch processing, stream processing, orchestration, and serving layers.
Experience or strong knowledge of data processing technologies such as NiFi, Kafka, Flink, Spark, Airflow, Druid, Trino, Superset, Iceberg, Parquet, object storage, or equivalent technologies.
Experience designing application, API, integration, microservices, or automation platform architectures.
Good understanding of databases, distributed systems, CI/CD, DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code, containers, Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, security, deployment, and operational constraints.
Ability to document architecture decisions and explain technical choices clearly.
English is mandatory.
Nice to Have
Spanish is a plus.
Experience in telecom / OSS environments.
Knowledge of PM, FM, CM, topology, inventory, NMS, or network data mediation.
Exposure to AI use cases such as anomaly detection, forecasting, RAG, AI-assisted operations, or AI governance.
Experience working in multi-team, multi-platform, or multi-operator environments.
Previous tech-lead, architecture governance, or mentoring experience.
Expected Profile
The ideal candidate is pragmatic, structured, and able to balance delivery needs with long-term architecture consistency.
They should be able to understand business and technical requirements, design robust architectures, challenge weak technical decisions, support standardization, and guide teams without creating unnecessary complexity.
We are looking for someone able to bring architecture clarity, challenge fragmented solutions, and help build scalable platforms for telecom automation, Datalake, applications, and future AI-oriented use cases.
