About the role

Location: Remote + Homebased

Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Security Clearance: This position requires the ability & willingness to undergo and obtain a Secure Vetting (SC) clearance.

Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.

To provide a professional level engineering service on both assure (Faults) and provide (MACD’s) activities for our customer on behalf of VodafoneThree.

The role will be working alongside our project/principal engineers for project delivery in order to achieve the delivery of each assigned project stream as expected by both client and the company. Be able to manage risk and costs and ensuring all quality and health & safety requirements are met. Hold a technical knowledge of networking principles, having operated in both provide and assure delivery space and have a proven track record of successful technical project implementation across various delivery solutions.

What you’ll do

Assure/ Incident Management of Cisco Managed LAN and WLAN

Management of day-to-day project and provide activities

Achieve agreed performance levels in line with business targets, customer requirements and functional SLA’s

Escalate issues and potential delays through Line Management channels in accordance with standard procedures to ensure that SLA’s are not breached

Maintenance of site documentation

Liaise with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Service Desk and High Care Delivery colleagues on a day to day basis

Attend and repair customer faults within agreed timescales

Role is predominantly remote based, however there will be the requirement to travel to customer sites in and around the Midlands and South of the UK on an adhoc basis, whilst also working on a standby rota

once fully up to speed in the role.

Who you’ll be

Extensive experience with Cisco LAN and Wireless LAN technologies, including switching and IP addressing best practice.

Good understanding Cisco Voice Technologies.

Experience in configuring networks in a managed data-networking environment, ideally coupled with a networking qualification.

Self-motivating individual with the ability to develop strong customer relationships as well as functioning in a team environment.

Good interpersonal skills with effective communication.

Holds valid SC Clearance, if not then minimum must be SC clearable, as the role will require the successful candidate to be SC Cleared.
