We are looking for

PMO Governance Manager (Americas)

at our locations in Mexico - Ciudad Juárez or Comonfort, Gto

Your tasks:

Develop and implement project governance frameworks to ensure projects align with organizational objectives and comply with industry regulations.

Establish and maintain project reporting mechanisms, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.

Facilitate project reviews and internal audits to ensure compliance with governance standards.

Design, implement, and continuously improve project management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Actively drive and support the implementation of new processes, defining communication, training needs, and capacity recommendations for affected Cross-Functions and Business Segments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, enhance project delivery, and incorporate lessons learned and feedback into continuous improvement initiatives.

Standardize and enforce project management standards across the organization, ensuring alignment with industry standards (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, APQP), PMO process standards, regulatory requirements, and automotive project management best practices.

Regularly review and update standards to reflect advancements in technology, industry trends, and organizational needs.

Collaborate with project managers, the PLM organization, and other cross-functions to understand project requirements and align processes accordingly.

Provide training and support to project teams to ensure consistent application of project management methodologies and adherence to standards.

Track and analyze project performance metrics, identify trends, areas for improvement, and process-related risks, and implement appropriate countermeasures and performance improvement initiatives.

Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and improvement actions.

Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous project management improvement within the PMO and across the organization.

Job requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. PMP or IPMA Project Management Certification preferred.

Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in Project Management, PMO, or a related role within the automotive industry; experience ing Project Management Methodologies; experience using MS Project Professional; experience with automotive Core Tools, including FMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plan (CP), and related methodologies.

Languages: English - Strong proficiency (written and verbal).

Soft Skills Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. High level of accountability and ownership. Inclusive and decisive thinking. Proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach. Basic people management capability.

Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of automotive industry standards and processes. Experience working in cross-functional and international environments. Familiarity with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, APQP, and automotive project management best practices.
