Role Overview
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in JavaScript, Playwright, and end-to-end testing, along with solid expertise in manual testing, performance testing, and QA processes within Agile environments.
Required Skills
3+ years of experience in Automation Testing
Strong experience in JavaScript (ES6+)
Hands-on experience with Playwright
Experience in end-to-end (E2E) testing and test lifecycle management
Strong experience in manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory)
Experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks
Experience in API testing (REST APIs)
Experience in performance testing using JMeter or similar tools
Familiarity with API testing tools/libraries (Playwright / Postman / Axios)
Experience with Azure CI/CD pipelines (preferred) or other CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity)
Experience with Git (branching, merging, pull requests)
Knowledge of SQL for backend/data validation
Understanding of Page Object Model (POM) and automation design patterns
Strong understanding of Agile methodology, SDLC, and STLC
Strong knowledge of test artifacts: test plans, test strategy, test cases, reports, metrics
Experience in test completion cycles, reporting, and defect tracking
Good understanding of client-server architecture
Good to Have (Plus Skills)
Experience with BDD approach using tools like Cucumber / Playwright BDD
Exposure to TypeScript
Experience in performance testing concepts (load, stress, spike testing)
Experience testing microservices architecture
Knowledge of modern test runners (Jest, Mocha)
Exposure to cloud environments and DevOps practices
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and JavaScript
Create and execute automated test scripts for UI, APIs, and end-to-end workflows
Perform manual testing where automation is not feasible
Design and execute performance tests using JMeter or similar tools
Ensure complete test coverage including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
Integrate and execute automation suites in Azure CI/CD pipelines
Analyze test results, prepare test completion reports, and track defects
Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
Participate in test planning, estimation, and strategy discussions
Conduct code reviews for automation scripts
Collaborate with developers to build reusable and scalable test solutions
Work closely with Delivery Managers, BAs, Developers, and QA teams
Follow and promote BDD practices where applicable
