About the role:

The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Operations leads the development, delivery and management of strategic and operational frameworks, plans and systems to drive NSW Parliament’s data network, telecommunications, public cloud and data centre operations servers (including storage, virtualisation, backup and enterprise monitoring).

The role is responsible for managing a team of technical specialists and overseeing multiple service providers and partners to ensure contemporary, reliable, secure, and cost-effective IT infrastructure services that support business operations and digital transformation objectives, while aligning with Parliament’s technology strategy and priority agenda.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. About you

In this role you would require extensive technical knowledge of enterprise networking, cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS), server and storage management, and infrastructure security controls as well as demonstrated leadership experience managing infrastructure operations teams and vendor service providers in a complex, high-availability IT environment.

Essential requirements

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

Certification or experience with ITIL Foundation (or higher) in service management practices.

Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, or other equivalent vendor certifications).
