Job Summary

Duties

Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns using tax software and manual calculations

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws by accurately reporting income, deductions, and credits

Gather and review financial documents such as W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, and supporting schedules

Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and explain tax-related questions

Assist with bookkeeping tasks using accounting software like QuickBooks and Sage to support accurate tax filings

Conduct analysis of financial data to identify potential deductions or credits that benefit clients

Support marketing efforts by assisting in client acquisition initiatives and promoting our services

Experience

Previous experience in public accounting or a related field involving tax preparation or accounting is highly preferred

Strong knowledge of tax law, compliance requirements, and reporting standards for various entity types

Proficiency in tax preparation software and accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software

Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts including bookkeeping, corporate accounting, partnership taxation, and individual tax reporting

Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry (10 key typing) and mathematical calculations

Customer service experience with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally

Familiarity with financial sales techniques and client relationship management is a plus
