TECHNICAL PROJECT LEADER
About the role
MISSION
Lead project teams with the aim to ensure that technical and functional requirements are met along the project life; and that cost, quality, and timing goals established by the project are reached.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among team members.
Coordinate project technical teams in order to get a product developed according scope of the project, maintaining a fluid level of technical communication with the client and the different technical areas, ensuring the confidentiality of the information.
Assure that technical and functional requirements, including costumer specific requirements (CSR) are satisfied along the project life.
Assure the quality of the product, timing and cost are fulfilled in coordination with the Project Manager.
Define the technical scope of work for the project: product, timing, quality, cost and interfaces from engineering development point of view.
Assure the feasibility of achieving the goals of the technical project with available resources and constrains in coordination with supervisors and Masters.
Schedule the high-level technical plan and consolidate, adjust and monitor technical areas schedules and outputs to reach quality, timing and development cost goals according to R&D processes during project lifecycle.
Manage and prioritize technical activities and goals according to management directives and report relevant information to the team members.
Manage escalations from Transversal Leader.
Communicate closely to the costumer for clarifying requirements (i.e. CSR) and report timings, risks and efforts if required.
Monitor of the technical progress of the project jointly with Area leader.
Report the technical progress of the project to Customer, Project Manager, Quality Assurance Leader and Safety Manager with the support of Area Leaders.
Functional reporting to Project Manager.
Lead the areas to assure the technical and time feasibility, gather technical and cost information, and ensure the implementation and testing until delivered to customer for the Product Change Requests.
Enforce the execution of the applicable processes and procedures, the usage of standard tools, and provide improvement proposals in development processes, technologies/product for embedded systems.
Manage technical project risks. Define and lead mitigation and contingency action plans.
Manage project prototypes until delivered to customer.
Observe FICOSA’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.
Lead the team, guaranteeing its effectiveness, development and motivation, fostering FICOSA's values.
Provide the team with the necessary means to comply with OSHE rules, ensuring they are properly used.
Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OSHE and Quality department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mainly in electronics or telecommunications or IT.
Languages: Fluent local language & Fluent in English (spoken and written) additional language will be value.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in engineering development
Travel: Willing to travel
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS
Additional training: Knowledge and experience regarding management skills, specific automotive development tools, and applicable standards (such as Automotive SPICE, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity) would be of additional value.
