SYSTEMS ENGINEERING MANAGER

MISSION

Lead the System Engineering group in order to guarantee the proper implementation of products design, fulfilling R&D processes and according to objectives defined in the BU, assuring customer satisfaction.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Manage and lead System Development group according to customer satisfaction, FICOSA processes and values, ensuring best-in-class engineering and obtaining lower development costs.

Guarantee proper and effective transversal engineering tasks among projects and match the right required technical profiles to each related project.

Size appropriately the System Development team according to BU needs, working with HR to recruit needed workforce. Contribute with HR to the attraction and retention of System Development talent.

Break down System Development area goals from BU goals and ensure its fulfilment through all organisation chart top-down.

Create a System Development department roadmap according to necessary improvements and team needs.

Follow and ensure execution of R&D processes and usage of standard tools.

Monitor and report the status of the product development to the BU Technical Director ensuring their appropriateness and accuracy and take actions to correct deviations.

Ensure execution of Lessons Learned Process, encourage the team to identify process improvements and System Development technology/products improvements.

Prepare the System Development department budget and ensure it is not exceeded.

Represent FICOSA’s products and technologies in customer meetings.

Identify potential Intellectual Property protection needs and take actions when required.

Define and sponsor strategies for System Engineering technologies that will support new business growth opportunities, drive innovation and serve future market demands of our customers.

Observe FICOSA’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.

Lead the System Development group, guaranteeing its effectiveness, development and motivation, fostering FICOSA's values.

Provide the System Development team with the necessary means to comply with OHSE rules, ensuring they are properly used.

Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and quality.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mainly in electronics or telecommunications or software.

Languages: Fluent local language & Fluent English (spoken & written)

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar position

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

Additional training: MBA would be of additional value
