An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Officer Grade C to join the Recruitment and Information Services team. In this role you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering professional, customer-focused recruitment and employment services across the ACT Public Service.

You will provide strategic advice, oversee complex recruitment activities, build strong stakeholder relationships, and identify opportunities to improve business processes and service delivery outcomes. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong leadership capability, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing team.

Manage complex recruitment and employment-related activities.

Build productive relationships with stakeholders across the ACTPS.

Drive service improvement and business process reform.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policy, and governance requirements.

Eligibility/Other requirements

Relevant experience in human resources, recruitment, workforce management, or a related field will be highly desirable.

Relevant experience in leading a team of human resources professionals within a high volume, customer facing environment preferred.

Note: This is a temporary position commencing in September 2026 for a period of up to 12 months. There is a possibility of extension. A merit pool may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
