About the role

About us

splose is the AI-powered practice management platform powering better health care. Trusted by over 25,000+ Allied Health professionals around the world, splose is purpose-built to free clinicians from admin and let them focus on what matters most - helping people. Backed by leading VC funds EVP, Spectrum Equity, and Athletic Ventures we have recently announced a record-breaking $46M Series A raise - the largest Series A of any South Australian SaaS company ever. We’re growing fast and investing in our product, our people, and our global growth.

About you

You're a product leader who's shipped LLM-powered features from 0 to 1 and knows what it takes to turn raw AI capability into something clinicians actually trust and use every day. You've got deep fluency across frontier models like GPT and Claude as well as open-weight models like Llama and DeepSeek, and you know how to balance quality, cost, and user experience so every decision holds up in production, not just in a demo.

At splose, you'll lead our AI strategy with a primary focus on our clinical notes and documentation product features. You'll define and drive the roadmap for AI-powered clinical features, working cross-functionally across Engineering, Data, Design, and Clinical SME teams to build tools that meaningfully improve the lives of healthcare practitioners and their patients. You'll report directly to our CPO and have real influence over how AI shapes the future of allied health.

What you'll do

Define and drive the AI product roadmap for clinical notes and documentation, with a long-term vision for how AI transforms clinical workflows at splose

Identify opportunities to apply LLMs and other AI technologies across the clinical product surface, prioritising customer value and business impact

Evaluate the competitive AI landscape and position splose as the leader in AI-powered clinical documentation for allied health practitioners

Pursue substantial gains over incremental improvements, with a start-up mindset

Engage technical, product, design, and business stakeholders to prioritise and build what matters

Design and implement robust evaluation frameworks with a focus on continuous testing and optimisation of AI outputs

Guide model selection decisions across frontier and open-weight models

Optimise model usage to generate high-quality clinical documentation while maintaining appropriate cost and revenue margins

Drive prompt design and iteration as a core product capability

Contribute to AI infrastructure decisions, including model hosting, inference pipelines, latency constraints, and data handling

Translate raw AI capabilities into scalable, approachable, and visually intuitive experiences for healthcare practitioners

Drive customer research to inform a user-centric AI strategy, understanding how clinicians work, what they trust, and where AI reduces burden

Champion design excellence at every AI touchpoint, ensuring it's transparent, reliable, and human-centred

Balance technical possibility with clinical context to meet healthcare professional standards

Partner with Engineering, Data, Design, and Clinical SMEs to deliver AI features that are safe, accurate, and scalable

Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to understand practitioner needs and gather feedback loops

Influence alignment on AI strategy, standards, and shared principles across the broader team

Define and track key metrics including quality scores, model performance, user adoption, and cost efficiency

What you'll bring

8+ years in product management, with at least 3 years focused on AI or ML-powered products

A proven track record of shipping LLM-powered features from 0 to 1, defining scope, running evaluations, and iterating to production quality

Experience defining the vision of early-stage AI products and building them into larger, high-functioning ones

A demonstrated ability to influence across teams and ensure alignment on a shared AI direction

Deep fluency in both frontier models (e.g. GPT, Claude) and open-weight models (e.g. Llama, DeepSeek)

Deep user empathy and an instinctive ability to understand user needs and relentlessly prioritise user experience

Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders

Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to manage change and uncertainty in a fast-moving AI landscape

A design thinking background, particularly applying AI to enhance user experience rather than just adding capability

A rigorous approach to prompt engineering as a product discipline
