As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. And by transporting medicines, toys and important machine parts, you are not only delivering goods, you are making small and big moments possible for people all around the world. You will be part of our Road Logistics team, adding your expertise + skills to the delivery of customer + operational excellence.

How you create impact

You will be responsible for the smooth + compliant operations of all customs-related activities while keeping abreast of updated customs related regulations.

What we would like you to bring

To take lead in driving implementation of customs related projects, ensuring seamless onboarding.

To develop + maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to customs brokers, government agencies, trade compliance associations + customers.

To ensure accuracy of customs declaration form(s) submission + complete related activities as required by the government, facilitating timely clearance of all shipments.

To monitor performance of customs-related suppliers + end-to-end customs activities, including but not limited to checking of documents, entering data in relevant systems, inspections of goods, clearance + thirdparty documents.

To arrange for product re-classification with customs ruling department if required.

To oversee loading + unloading activities, escalate any defects to relevant parties + follow up with necessary surveys.

To create standard operating procedures, identify business risks + provide trainings whenever required.

To attend customs examinations + ensure relevant certifications are valid.
