Job Description – Senior Operations Executive

About the Role

We are looking for a highly responsible and detail-oriented Operations Executive to manage critical financial and operational processes within our lending business. This role involves handling reconciliations, payment operations, NACH activities, partner settlements, and operational issue resolution. Since the role directly impacts customer funds and financial accuracy, we are looking for someone who demonstrates exceptional ownership, discipline, and accountability in every task they undertake.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the lending, NBFC, or FinTech industry and be committed to delivering operational excellence while continuously improving processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reconciliation

Perform daily reconciliations between internal systems and designated bank accounts, ensuring complete accuracy.

Investigate reconciliation breaks, identify root causes, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely closure.

Monitor daily transaction reports and ensure all operational exceptions are resolved within defined timelines.

Ensure operational records and financial reports are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.

Payment Operations

Manage partner invoicing and merchant payment processes with accuracy and timeliness.

Coordinate settlement activities with internal Finance, Operations, and external partners.

Monitor payment failures, pending transactions, and settlement delays, ensuring prompt resolution.

Support fund flow activities and transaction monitoring across operational workflows.

NACH Operations

Handle end-to-end NACH operations, including mandate registration, updation, presentation, and monitoring.

Track NACH success and failure reports and coordinate corrective actions where necessary.

Ensure all NACH activities are executed within operational timelines and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

Respond to operational queries from customers, business partners, and internal stakeholders.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues efficiently.

Provide timely and accurate updates to stakeholders while maintaining high service standards.

Process Improvement

Identify recurring operational issues, process gaps, and control weaknesses.

Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Actively participate in system enhancements, testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features impacting operations.

Contribute towards building scalable and efficient operational processes.

Operational Governance

Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, operational controls, and compliance requirements.

Maintain complete documentation for operational activities and support audit requirements.

Escalate operational risks, discrepancies, and critical issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Skills

Must Have

2–5 years of experience in Operations within the Lending, NBFC, Banking, or FinTech industry.

Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and financial operations.

Hands-on experience in NACH mandate management and presentation processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict timelines.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced and process-driven environment.

Good to Have

Experience in fund flow management and settlement operations.

Knowledge of payment gateways, escrow accounts, and digital payment ecosystems.

Exposure to lending products, repayment operations, and financial reconciliations.

Experience working with operational dashboards and reporting tools.
