DHL currently has an exciting opportunity available for an Americas Network Control – Capacity Control Analyst. The Americas Network Control – Capacity Control Analyst performs analytical work to support the various business needs of the DHL Express Air Network. The Business Analyst prepares, analyzes, and reports data to improve the utilization of the DHL Express Air Network movements.

Key Accountabilities:

Capacity Planning:

Develop and implement capacity plans to ensure optimal utilization of transportation resources. Align capacity with demand forecasts and operational requirements.

Manages and follows appropriate processes and procedures for accomplishing work

Monitoring and Analysis:

Continuously monitor capacity utilization and analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

Use data-driven insights to enhance capacity management.

Produces reports for management that draw data from various sources to aid in tracking business unit objectives.

Reviews network performance daily to evaluate capacity requirements.

Analyzes statistical data and prepares analysis to support the various needs of assigned DHL business units; compiles and summarizes data to present to management as necessary.

Coordination:

Coordinate with logistics, operations, and network planning teams to ensure seamless capacity management.

Collaborate with other departments to address capacity-related issues and optimize resource allocation.

Works in conjunction with Network Control, Load Control, Field and Hub operations groups in coordinating, communicating, and executing standard and contingency operations plans and shipment routing. Strong focus on optimization.

Works with a cross-functional team of operational stakeholders to accomplish business objectives

Load Optimization:

Work with load planners to ensure efficient load distribution and maximize capacity utilization.

Supports the implementation of strategies to minimize empty miles and reduce operational costs.

Performance Tracking:

Focus on improving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to capacity utilization, such as load factors, vehicle fill rates, and operational efficiency.

Provide regular reports and updates to management.

Compliance:

Ensure all capacity management activities comply with aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.

May assist in training efforts for assigned DHL business unit

Continuous Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance capacity management processes.

Implement best practices and innovative solutions to achieve operational excellence.

Develops standard and ad-hoc reports to identify data integrity failures; performs thorough analysis to identify root causes for failure and makes recommendations for solutions.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve capacity-related issues and bottlenecks.

Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure smooth operations.

Customer Focus:

Work closely with the customer support team to address customer concerns related to capacity and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of capacity plans, utilization rates, and operational performance.

Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible

Skills & Qualifications:

Requires BS/BA in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field and 2-5 years’ experience in related field

Strong PC skills including MS Excel

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Ability to work any shift
