How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Overview:

Delta's Customer Data team is seeking a Product Manager to support Customer Data Products that enable trusted customer and journey data across the enterprise. This role focuses on helping ensure customer data is sourced, integrated, governed, and available for downstream consumers while partnering closely with engineering, operational technology teams, and data-producing application teams. This individual will contribute to product delivery, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement of foundational customer data capabilities.

What You'll Do:

Support delivery of enhancements and maintenance activities for Customer Data Products that enable enterprise customer data capabilities.

Partner with senior Product Managers and engineering teams to document business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.

Assist with onboarding new data producers and integrations into Customer Data platforms.

Identify data quality, completeness, and consistency issues and coordinate resolution with engineering and source-system teams.

Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), defect triage, and release validation activities.

Contribute to documentation of customer data definitions, business rules, data lineage, and product requirements.

Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand customer data needs across Commercial and Operational organizations.

Support efforts to establish and maintain consistent customer data definitions and calculations across business partners.

Assist in evaluation of source data, required attributes, transformation logic, and data gaps for assigned initiatives.

Help coordinate communication and status updates across engineering, business stakeholders, and product leadership.

Monitor product performance metrics and operational health indicators and escalate issues as appropriate.

Contribute to product documentation, training materials, and adoption support for stakeholders.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.

2+ years in data product delivery or technical product management.

Strong understanding of APIs, data modeling, and modern architectures (AWS preferred).

SQL proficiency; Python experience is a plus.

Ability to manage delivery in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a time-sensitive, dynamic environment while working independently with minimal direction.

Business and technical acumen with an understanding of Delta’s travel ribbon and customer interaction points.

Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

Exposure to data platforms, cloud technologies, APIs, or ETL processes through coursework, internships, or professional experience.

Familiarity with Agile product delivery methodologies.

Experience creating business requirements, process documentation, or user stories.

Interest in customer data, personalization, digital experiences, or enterprise platforms.
