Director of Tax - Lead Global Tax Strategy and Financial Reporting

What Makes This Role Great

You will serve as a key financial leader, directly influencing Trimble's global tax strategy, guiding the U.S. Tax Operations team, and driving critical decision-making across complex domestic and international M&A transactions.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end quarterly and annual global income tax provision process (ASC 740) and oversee SEC tax disclosures.

Provide strategic forecasts and guidance regarding future effective tax rates and cash taxes to executive leadership.

Drive U.S. federal and state compliance alongside comprehensive tax due diligence and post-acquisition integration for M&A activities.

Manage, mentor, and develop the U.S. Tax Operations team to foster professional growth and operational excellence.

Essential Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with 12+ years of combined experience in a major public accounting firm and the technology industry.

Extensive expertise in ASC 740, US GAAP, and fundamental US tax principles, including international, state, and local tax.

Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to guide technical teams and communicate complex tax issues across all organizational levels.

CPA - Certified Public Accountant License

Bonus Points For

Master’s degree in Taxation.

Experience with AI applications in corporate tax functions.

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
