About the role

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Gilbert Industries, Inc. is a tank and vessel fabricator, and we are seeking an experienced sales professional to develop and grow an assigned sales territory. This position is responsible for maximizing revenue and profits by selling Gilbert Industries' tank fabrication abilities to existing customers and acquiring new business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Develop an in-depth knowledge of Gilbert Industries and all the company's capabilities.

- Be a student of the customer and identify how Gilbert can best serve each customer.

- Create and execute a territory sales plan that maintains and expands the customer base.

- Constantly improve customer relations with out-of-the-box thinking.

- Optimize the territory sales plan by working closely with the Vice President of Sales to maximize opportunities.

- Meet regularly with existing customers and prospects in the sales territory to understand their evolving business needs and provide solutions to meet and exceed their needs.

- Build long-term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with sales reps, engineers, and/or other manufacturing companies to their capabilities to a customer.

- Work effectively with internal support departments (Estimating, Project Management, and Engineering) to maximize profit and ensure the customer is well taken care of.

- Attend conferences and tradeshows to promote Gilbert Industries.

- Complete sales reports and expense reports in a timely manner.

- Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience: Minimum

- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

- High aptitude for multi-tasking and managing multiple projects.

- Experience in tank manufacturing or similar industry.

- Leadership or supervisory experience.

Travel is required by this position with common environmental and noise conditions associated with travel by car and plane. Some work may be performed in public settings such as restaurants, trade shows, sporting events, etc. with typical environmental conditions and noise levels associated with these settings. Some work is performed in an environmentally controlled office setting with varying noise levels for an office environment. Some work may be performed in a factory setting with possible loud noise and hot or cold conditions. Personal protective equipment consisting of safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed safety shoes may be required when in the factory.

The employee is required to talk and hear in noisy environments. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to travel, which may require sitting for long periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
