As an Engineer, Software – Platform Engineering & Applied AI, you'll help design, build, and support cloud-native applications and platform services that power critical enterprise capabilities. Working alongside software engineers, architects, platform engineers, and site reliability engineers, you'll contribute to modernizing applications, improving engineering automation, and delivering secure, scalable software solutions.
You'll also have the opportunity to explore practical applications of AI-assisted software development, helping improve how software is designed, built, tested, documented, and operated.

Job Responsibilities:
Technical Engineering
Develop, test, deploy, and support cloud-native software applications and services.
Build secure, scalable APIs and integrations using modern software engineering practices.
Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
Contribute to improving software quality through automated testing, code reviews, documentation, and continuous integration practices.
Platform Engineering
Contribute to modernization efforts that improve platform scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
Help build internal tools and automation that reduce manual effort and improve engineering productivity.
Partner with architects and engineering teams to evaluate technical approaches and support proof-of-concept initiatives.
Automation & DevSecOps
Apply secure software development practices throughout the software lifecycle.
Support automation initiatives that improve deployment, testing, monitoring, and operational workflows.
Participate in vulnerability remediation and continuous improvement of software delivery processes.
Applied AI Engineering
Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve software development workflows.
Contribute to engineering automation using emerging AI capabilities where appropriate.
Participate in evaluating practical applications of AI that improve engineering productivity while maintaining appropriate review and governance.
Collaboration
Work collaboratively with software engineers, architects, site reliability engineers, and business partners.
Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate technical concepts clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience
OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience
OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or Engineering (Required)
2-4 years Technical engineering experience. (Required)

Base Pay Range: $92,500 - $166,800
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
