National Bank's fund accounting department is responsible of daily NAV calculation, distributions calculation and their financial statements production and their tax declarations.

Your Role

Act as an expert in the application of accounting and regulatory standards that define our activities, particularly IFRS standards

Verify the accuracy of the data presented and the content of the notes to the financial statements based on the investment strategy (interim and annual)

Participate in the annual audit process of mutual funds and exchange-traded funds

Analyze the impact of changes or new products on the team's operations and the production of financial statements

Identify and analyze the needs of current and potential partners/clients to meet their needs and facilitate their decision-making through our recommendations by being an active player in meetings

Maintain an excellent level of relationship with internal and external partners (colleagues, clients, auditors, National Bank Trust) in the context of common activities

Provide specialized advice to all parties

Contribute to the development of your colleagues by transferring knowledge and keeping documentation up to date

Your Team

Within the fund accounting sector in the Financial Statements team, you are part of a team of 16 colleagues. Surrounded by experts in finance, accounting, and taxation, we analyze and interpret data to make the best decisions for our clients and partners. You report to the Financial statements senior manager.

Our team stands out for its expertise in mutual fund accounting, the quality of its production of audited semi-annual and annual financial statements, its client/employee experience delivery, the dynamic atmosphere, and the collaboration between colleagues and with other teams in the sector.

Working hours are flexible and include telecommuting based on operational needs. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or any other combination of training deemed equivalent and a minimum of five years of relevant experience

Accounting designation (CPA)

Experience in analyzing financial statement notes and expertise in IFRS standards

Knowledge of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and experience in auditing financial statements

Excellent communication skills, good time and priority management

Critical thinking oriented towards problem-solving and rigor
