Job description

This role is based in India and as such all normal working days must be carried out in India.

Join us as an NFT Lead

You’ll provide leadership across Non-Functional Testing (NFT) & Assurance, promoting quality excellence and securing compliance with the bank’s standards, policies and controls

You’ll play a key role in enabling the safe and seamless transition of change from development into live environments through effective quality assurance practices

Build your expertise in quality engineering while working with a broad range of stakeholders across a collaborative and fast-paced technology environment

We are offering this role at vice president level

What you’ll do

In this key role, you’ll lead our end-to-end NFT strategy, making sure only well-designed solutions progress through quality assurance, with strong emphasis on performance, resilience and scalability. You’ll define, shape, and assure Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), making sure they are measurable, testable and embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.

You’ll help deliver the right outcomes for customers first time through modern testing approaches, using automation as an accelerator, and collaborating closely with stakeholders across Agile teams. We’ll also look to you to develop robust NFT strategies and test plans that support the continuous flow of change across the domain, platform value stream or programme.

Your work will focus on:

Undertaking end-to-end test management, including planning, governance, risk, issue and dependency management, and lessons learned

Driving shift-left NFT practices through modern tooling, cloud-native performance testing and CI/CD integration to strengthen resilience and delivery confidence

Leveraging AI, intelligent automation, and agent-based frameworks to accelerate NFT execution, defect detection, and predictive insights

Working with quality automation specialists to develop and execute automated tests through CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid feedback and efficient defect detection

Securing operational resilience readiness through failover, recovery, and capacity validation activities

Championing customer-centric quality practices, so defects are prioritised and resolved early to improve solutions and deliver right-first-time customer outcomes

Producing NFT assurance reporting for senior stakeholders and governance forums

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with proven experience applying testing methodologies, including Agile approaches such as test-driven development and behaviour driven development. You'll bring expertise across a broad range of test automation tools, alongside experience delivering testing activities throughout the systems development lifecycle within technology environments.

You’ll also have deep expertise across non-functional testing disciplines, including performance, load, stress and volume testing, resilience, failover and availability testing, and collaboration on security and penetration testing activities.

You’ll also demonstrate:

Strong capability in defining, validating and assuring NFRs throughout the delivery lifecycle

Experience using AI-enabled testing, intelligent automation or agent-based approaches to improve test design, execution, and defect prediction

Familiarity with observability tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana and Prometheus to validate NFRs in production

Practical experience testing ideas, products and designs, from planning through to execution

Experience across functional and non-functional testing, including system integration, user, accessibility, compatibility and back-out testing

The ability to relate day-to-day activities to the strategic objectives of feature, platform, domain and enterprise teams, with a strong focus on business outcomes

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to peers, stakeholders and senior management
