Position: E-Commerce Operations Manager
Location: Endicott, NY
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our Cables on Demand team located in Endicott, NY.
Amphenol Cables on Demand is a fast-growing, high-mix, low-volume custom cable manufacturer serving customers through a dynamic e-commerce platform. We are seeking a driven Operations Manager to lead strategic and day-to-day execution across our sales, production, warehouse, customer service, and systems functions.
This leader will play a critical role in scaling the business, strengthening operational discipline, and delivering an exceptional customer experience built on speed, quality, and reliability. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong operational leadership, commercial awareness, and a continuous improvement mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic and Business Leadership
Lead business unit strategy, planning, and operational execution aligned with company objectives
Own the full customer lifecycle, from order placement through fulfillment and post-sale support
Establish, track, and report on KPIs to drive supplier performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and performance goals
Operational Excellence
Oversee daily operations across sales, purchasing, warehouse, planning, and call center functions
Improve inventory accuracy, fulfillment speed, supplier reliability, and overall cost efficiency
Lead execution of promotions, newsletters, and digital marketing initiatives in coordination with sales and marketing
Ensure process consistency, quality control, and strong system integration across departments
Team Leadership and Development
Build, coach, and develop cross-functional teams with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Implement cross-training initiatives to increase flexibility and bench strength
Drive employee engagement, performance management, and professional development
Vendor, Contract, and Risk Management
Partner with legal on contracts, NDAs, and service agreements
Negotiate vendor terms and manage supplier performance to achieve cost, quality, and service targets
Ensure compliance with company policies and mitigate operational, legal, and financial risks
Technology and Systems Management
Oversee Microsoft Dynamics GP and integrated platforms including EDI, shipping, and tax systems
Collaborate with IT on system upgrades, troubleshooting, integrations, and process automation
Identify and implement technology improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability
Global Supply Chain Leadership
Manage international supplier relationships with a focus on cost, quality, and on-time delivery
Coordinate product updates and operational requirements across global teams to ensure seamless execution
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 to 7 years of leadership experience in operations, business management, or e-commerce
Strong understanding of e-commerce operations, distribution and logistics, and customer experience strategy
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Dynamics GP; experience with EDI, tax, and shipping software preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and contract management skills
Experience partnering with legal teams on contracts, compliance, and risk management

Compensation
This Operations role pays $90k-$120k/yr. Within typical range for operations roles in United States.
