About the role:
Partner with Regional Sales teams to assess capability gaps and develop annual, quarterly, and monthly training plans aligned to business priorities and retail KPIs.
Design and deliver engaging classroom, virtual, and in-store learning programs for Franchisee Trainers, Store Managers, and retail teams.
Lead onboarding and capability-building journeys for new hires and newly promoted Store Managers while strengthening the Franchisee Trainer ecosystem through Train-the-Trainer initiatives.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and the Content team to continuously enhance learning content, tools, and digital learning experiences.
Manage end-to-end execution of training programs, ensuring timely delivery, learner engagement, governance, and adherence to budgets and timelines.
Measure learning effectiveness through assessments, learner feedback, retail performance metrics, and post-training action plans to drive measurable business impact.
Analyze store performance trends and recommend targeted capability interventions to improve conversion, UPT, ATV, customer experience, and overall store productivity.
Coach Franchisee Trainers and retail leaders to improve learning transfer, capability development, and operational execution across the region.
Build strong partnerships with Regional Sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure learning solutions support business objectives and operational excellence.
Continuously improve learning programs by leveraging participant feedback, performance insights, and evolving business needs to deliver sustainable capability development.
About you:
Experience & Background: 12–15 years of experience in Learning & Development, Retail Training, or Capability Building within retail, apparel, hospitality, or consumer-facing industries.
Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Professional training certifications will be an added advantage.
Learning & Facilitation Expertise: Proven experience designing and delivering impactful learning programs using classroom, digital, and blended learning methodologies.
Retail Business Acumen: Strong understanding of retail operations and key business metrics including Conversion, UPT, ATV, customer experience, and store productivity.
Analytical & Results-Oriented: Ability to interpret business performance data, evaluate training effectiveness, and translate insights into measurable capability improvements.
Stakeholder Management: Strong collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships across business functions and franchise partners.
Execution Excellence: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple programs, stakeholders, and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Leadership Behaviors: Demonstrates integrity, empathy, adaptability, resilience, excellent communication, and a passion for developing people.
Job Location – West Region
Base - Mumbai
Reporting To – Head, Retail Training (Matrix Reporting: Regional Sales Managers)
Employment Type – Full-time | Permanent
Travel Requirement – Approximately 75% travel across stores and markets, with 25% based at the regional office for planning, stakeholder engagement, and learning operations
