Job Title: Specification Manager - Smart Buildings/Smart Infrastructure

You'll Make an Impact By:

Drive Specification Influence: Build strong relationships with consultants, planners, and design firms to position Siemens as the preferred partner for smart building solutions, ensuring our products and systems are specified in major projects.

Educate and Advocate: Deliver technical presentations, training sessions, and thought leadership content to consultants and specifiers, highlighting Siemens’ capabilities in building automation, fire safety, and security solutions with a focus on sustainability and digitalization.

Monitor Key Projects: Identify and track upcoming projects from early design phases, influencing decision-makers and ensuring Siemens solutions are included in specifications and tender documents.

Be a Trusted Advisor: Provide consultants with expert guidance on standards, regulations, and best practices, while advising on optimized system designs that meet project goals.

Collaborate with Sales & Engineering Teams: Work closely with solution sales, partner sales, bid management, and engineering teams to align specifications with actual project delivery and secure opportunities.

Promote Digital & Sustainable Solutions: Champion smart infrastructure and innovative technologies that support digital transformation and sustainability targets in the built environment.

Your Defining Qualities:

Industry Expertise: 5–8 years of experience engaging with consultants, planners, or specifiers in the building technologies industry (Building Automation, Fire Safety, Security, or similar).

Technical & Commercial Acumen: Solid understanding of building standards, codes, and design processes, with the ability to position Siemens solutions effectively during specification stages.

Influential Communicator: Excellent presentation, networking, and influencing skills, capable of building trust and credibility with consultants and decision-makers.

Strategic & Proactive: Ability to identify project opportunities early and develop strategies to influence specifications across multiple stakeholders.

Collaborative & Relationship-Oriented: Strong team player who works closely with sales and technical teams to achieve common goals.

Growth Mindset: Passion for continuous learning and keeping up with evolving industry trends such as digitalization, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
