Procurement Operations & Digital Transformation Intern
Verisure is seeking a curious, proactive and analytical Procurement Operations & Digital Transformation Intern to join our Group Procurement Team in Madrid. This is a hands-on learning opportunity where the intern will support day-to-day Procurement Operations activities while contributing to process improvement, data analysis and digital transformation initiatives. Previous procurement experience is not required; we are looking for someone with curiosity, common sense, willingness to learn and interest in understanding how processes work and how they can be improved.
The role will be expected to contribute quickly and grow as the Procurement function continues to evolve. It is an exciting opportunity to develop procurement, operational, analytical and digital skills in a global environment.

His/her responsibilities will be among others:
Support, analyse and help create indirect procurement processes across categories such as IT, Marketing, Services, Facilities and other business areas.
Support day-to-day Procurement Operations activities and collaborate with internal stakeholders across the P2P process, from purchase requisitions and approvals to purchase orders, supplier documentation and procurement workflows.
Perform operational and administrative procurement tasks that are essential for the business, ensuring accuracy, follow-up and timely execution.
Analyse spend and procurement data to identify opportunities for savings, efficiency, standardization and process improvement.
Maintain and update supplier, procurement and reporting data, supporting data quality across procurement systems and processes.
Participate in RFPs, negotiations and supplier selection processes, including requirements gathering, tender documentation, supplier evaluation and award preparation.
Support supplier qualification, selection, evaluation and performance follow-up at global level, ensuring procurement policies and defined workflows are followed.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of ERP and eProcurement tools, including Oracle, Jaggaer and other digital procurement solutions where applicable.
Contribute to digital transformation initiatives by automating processes and improving reporting through Excel, Power Platform and AI tools.
Prepare reports, spend analyses, operational KPIs and other materials needed to monitor procurement activity and support decision-making.
Help document, standardize and improve procurement processes, identifying inefficiencies, risks and practical improvement opportunities.
Identify and anticipate risks or issues in operational activities, systems or projects, propose improvement actions and escalate when required.

Reports and organization structure
The intern will report to the Procurement Operations & Digital Transformation team and will work closely with Procurement managers and internal stakeholders.
Candidate profile
Experiences and Qualifications
Final-year student or recent graduate in Business, Engineering, Economics, Data Analytics, IT or a similar field.
Strong analytical mindset, structured thinking and willingness to work comfortably with data.
Good level of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
Spanish and English. High level in both languages, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders.
Curiosity for technology, AI tools and process improvement.
Experience using AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude would be valued.
Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, Python or similar analytical tools would be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of procurement, operations, business processes, ERP or eProcurement solutions such as Oracle, SAP, Ariba or Jaggaer would be valued.

Important expectation: This role includes a combination of operational procurement activities, administrative support, analysis and improvement initiatives. Part of the learning journey will come from executing real day-to-day procurement processes. Understanding operations firsthand is the best way to develop procurement expertise and identify opportunities for automation, simplification and continuous improvement.
