JOB TITLE: HVAC Product Manager

LOCATION: Head Office, Naas Road, Dublin 12

CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent Full-Time

REPORTING TO: Commercial Director

The Role:

This role is responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle, from evaluating market opportunities and developing product strategies to product launch, performance monitoring, and eventual phase-out. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, sales teams, specification team, estimators, service personnel, and marketing resources to ensure our product offering remains competitive, innovative, and aligned with customer needs.

You will be instrumental in identifying market trends, analysing product performance, developing supplier relationships, and introducing new products that support Hevac's growth objectives.

The Person:

The successful candidate will be a technically capable and commercially astute professional with a strong understanding of the HVAC industry and the markets in which Hevac operates.

You will be a collaborative team player who can build strong relationships internally and externally, while maintaining a clear focus on delivering commercial and operational results. A thorough understanding of Irish market requirements, industry regulations, and compliance standards is essential, particularly within the commercial and industrial sectors.

You will also possess a strong awareness of product warranties, technical standards, and market expectations, and be comfortable working across all areas of the business including sales, compliance, service, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate and uphold Hevac's values at all times.

Manage and develop Hevac's product portfolio.

Build, manage, and strengthen supplier relationships.

Lead supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier performance management.

Identify opportunities for new product development and product enhancement.

Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and gap analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

Support the introduction and implementation of new products and technologies.

Ensure internal teams have the technical and commercial information required to successfully bring products to market.

Collaborate with the marketing resource to develop product promotion and marketing strategies.

Develop, maintain, and review product pricing structures in line with market conditions and business objectives.

Maintain and update product information and documentation for stock and non-stock product ranges.

Monitor product performance and provide KPI reporting and analysis.

Provide cross-functional support to sales, specification, estimating, service, and operational teams.

Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by management.

Skills and Experience:

Essential

Minimum of 5 years' experience within the HVAC industry.

Degree qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC products and systems.

Proven experience in product management, product development, or a similar technical-commercial role.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and market research skills.

Highly customer-focused with a strong understanding of market needs.

Commercially aware with a proven ability to manage and deliver against KPIs.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Full legal right to live and work permanently in the Republic of Ireland.

Desirable

Experience working directly with HVAC manufacturers or suppliers.

Knowledge of energy-efficient and renewable HVAC technologies.

Experience managing supplier relationships and commercial negotiations.
