Process Overview

Global Markets Global Valuation Group (GVG) is a division of Global Banking & Markets (GBAM) Finance responsible for providing valuation and independent price verification methodology support to Business Finance & Control (BFC) teams for execution of IPV, calculation of valuation adjustments and prudential valuation adjustments. The team is also responsible for reporting and governance across all valuation processes. Additionally, the team works on a number of regulatory deliverables related to valuations and drives the overall valuation control automation agenda in partnership with Technology and other stakeholders.

The team works closely with front office, middle office, traders, business finance controllers, market risk, quantitative risk and technology teams to drive the control agenda across the business.

Job Description

We are looking to hire a seasoned leader in the Global Valuations Group to project manage number of regulatory deliverables for GM & GCIB Finance organization. The person will be responsible for planning of regulatory engagement through the cycle from early notification to remediation phases. They will be required to manage stakeholders from different divisions within the bank to ensure that right responsibilities are allocated to right teams and the teams deliver on those in a timely fashion. They will be helping the team put together regulatory submissions, will track progress and milestones, escalate risks as needed and facilitate issue resolution.

Given this role will be part of the valuations group and will involve interactions with senior management of technical functions, we need the person to have a deep understanding of all regulatory guidelines (like CCAR stress testing, Prudential Valuation guidelines from a PRA and ECB perspective, ICAAP etc.). Additionally, they should also have a good knowledge of financial products and their valuations. Ideally, this role will best suit a person who has already been managing such technical regulatory projects for multiple years.

Responsibilities

Planning of regulatory engagement through the cycle from early notification to remediation phases

Stakeholder management including ensuring adequate ownership and responsibilities of the different parties involved

End to end project management of regulatory deliverables including putting together submissions, tracking of progress and milestone, escalation of risks and issues and facilitating issue resolution

Providing upward communication on project progress to CFO senior leadership

Ensuring high quality outputs from SME team by setting standards and providing guidance on expectations

Interpret regulatory changes and engage with CFO teams to perform impact assessments and drive change so that we are compliant with the new changes

Put together technical presentations in partnership with CFO teams

Drive the operational excellence agenda, ensuring process standardization, controls maturity, and continuous improvement across business‑critical activities.

Drive valuation related projects such as market data assessment for various asset classes, back-testing of results as per regulatory guidelines, drive intra-month prices testing of results etc.

Manage the overall Model governance process for valuation related models

Identify, document, and assess AI opportunities; collaborate with Technology, FLUs, and SMEs to evaluate feasibility, ROI, risk considerations, and operational impact.

Ensure adherence to AI use‑case governance, including risk alignment, model‑development documentation, compliance with enterprise AI policies, and responsible‑AI practices.

Govern technology and change portfolios, ensuring transparency, prioritization, sequencing, and delivery accountability.

Requirements

Education

Graduate/ Postgraduate in Finance/Management from Tier I/II institute

Experience Range

12–18 years of relevant experience in finance domain related to project management of quantitative/technical regulatory projects or Valuations / Valuation Governance

Foundational skills

Good understanding of regulatory landscape (Prudential valuation guidelines, ICAAP, CCAR, Valuation principles)

Ability to interpret regulatory guidelines (existing and forthcoming) and identify gaps/perform impact assessments

Strong project management skills with prior experience of running end to end project management for regulatory engagements ideally for large banks

Strong organization and structured thinking

Strong communication skills to be able to present to a highly technical and senior audience

Strong written communication skills and dashboarding skills

Good knowledge of global markets products along with basic risk and valuation principles

Attention to details and rigor to meet expectations or internal audit and supervisor requirements.

Ability to work under tight deadlines

Strong technology skills (understanding of automation tools such as Alteryx) and understanding of AI tools to enable identification and implementation of OPEX opportunities

Experience working with Technology partners on architecture discussions, feasibility assessments, and solution design

Additional skills

Prior experience leading engagement with model governance and awareness of model governance life cycle

Hands on experience with coding (ex: Python)

Hands on experience in managing AI projects at large scale

Strong understanding of Market risk and valuation principles.

Prior experience performing market data assessment and working with vendors on assessing quality of data
