About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Retail MM/SD Consultant specializing in S/4HANA to provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support.
This position focuses on incident handling, problem resolution, bug fixing, and the implementation of small enhancements.
Responsibilities
Analyze and resolve incidents and service requests related to SAP MM/SD processes within a Retail environment
Perform root cause analysis for recurring or critical issues and propose sustainable long-term solutions
Manage the full ticket lifecycle in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira, ensuring compliance with SLAs and support KPIs
Collaborate with functional and technical teams, including third parties, for complex issue resolution
Identify and drive problem management initiatives to reduce incident volume and improve process efficiency
Document known errors, workarounds, and solution approaches in the Knowledge Base
Design, test, and implement small configuration changes and enhancements within SAP MM/SD modules
Prepare and validate functional specifications for bug fixes and minor developments
Support transport request management and ensure quality assurance throughout deployments
Provide UAT support, coordinate with business users, and validate solution effectiveness after deployment
Requirements
At least 3 years of professional relevant experience as an SAP MM/SD Consultant
Hands-on expertise with SAP Retail, including SAP Retail Master Data, SAP Retail Purchasing, and SAP Retail Sales
Strong knowledge of Replenishment, Goods Movements, Inventory, Order Fulfilment, Delivery, and Billing processes in SAP S/4HANA
Experience with IDoc monitoring, interface troubleshooting, and batch job handling
Ability to perform debugging and coordinate technical fixes with ABAP teams
Understanding of transport management, system landscapes, and change control processes
English at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills
