Role Purpose

The HR Trainee will support the Human Resources function in strengthening employee experience, HR Business Partnering support, and driving process excellence across the VCC. The role is designed for a high-potential early-career talent who is keen to build a strong foundation in strategic HR, people analytics, process improvement, employee engagement, and HR governance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employee Experience & Engagement

Support employee engagement, onboarding, recognition, and culture initiatives that strengthen a positive employee experience and reinforce the PruWays.

Assist in driving PruWay activation programs, culture workshops, employee communications, and campaigns that encourage adoption of PruWay behaviours and PruSteps.

Gather and analyse employee feedback, onboarding insights, and engagement data to identify opportunities to improve employee experience and wellbeing.

Create employee stories, recognition content, and communication materials that showcase and celebrate employees living the PruWay values

2. HR Business Partner Support

Support HRBP execution across employee lifecycle matters including onboarding, employee connects, internal movements, retention actions and engagement follow-ups.

Assist in preparing workforce dashboards, org-level trackers, headcount summaries and business review materials.

Capture and consolidate employee themes, manager inputs and action items for HRBP follow-through.

Participate in HR projects related to organization effectiveness, culture, capability building and employee listening.

Assist with research and benchmarking on HR practices, employee experience trends, people policies and talent programs.

3. TA Process Excellence

Support standardization of recruitment trackers, interview coordination processes, candidate communication templates and hiring governance documents.

Prepare recruitment process dashboards covering funnel status, ageing, SLA adherence and stakeholder follow-ups.

Document SOPs, process maps and checklists for key hiring activities to improve consistency and control.

Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements to improve speed, quality, governance and stakeholder experience.

4. People Analytics & Strategic Projects

Analyze HR data across hiring, engagement, attrition, workforce movement and employee lifecycle themes.

Prepare charts, dashboards and PowerPoint summaries for HR reviews and leadership discussions.

Conduct external and internal research to support HR strategy, benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support special projects in talent, culture, learning, organization design, workforce planning and HR process transformation.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

MBA HR students, final-year students or recent graduates (upto 1 year) are preferred.

Prior internship exposure in Employee Experience, HR Analytics,Talent Acquisition, HR Projects will be an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Good analytical mindset and comfort with data, dashboards and reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Microsoft 365 tools.

Curiosity, ownership mindset and genuine interest in people, culture and organizational effectiveness.

Adapts to change positively and demonstrates solution oriented approach
