Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Senior Java Developer with a strong hands-on development background to join a growing engineering team. This role requires deep expertise in modern Java, reactive architectures, microservices, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems in distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and distributed systems

Build and optimize backend services using Java (Java 21+) with Spring Boot / Quarkus

Apply functional programming, reactive architecture, and non-blocking I/O principles in service design

Develop and integrate REST APIs, gRPC services, and event-driven systems using messaging platforms such as Kafka / MQ

Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (preferably GCP) using Docker and Kubernetes

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation practices

Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL / NoSQL) for data persistence and optimization

Implement backend security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, and mTLS

Set up and maintain observability practices including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on hands-on coding

Strong proficiency in Java (Java 21+) with Spring Boot / Quarkus

At least 2 years of relevant experience with functional programming, reactive architecture, and non-blocking I/O

Proven experience building microservices architectures and distributed systems

Hands-on experience with REST APIs, gRPC, event-driven systems, and messaging (Kafka / MQ)

Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices

Good exposure to database technologies (PostgreSQL / NoSQL)

Solid understanding of backend security practices (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS)

Experience with observability tools for logging, metrics, and tracing

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Preferred (Good to Have) Skills

Experience with blockchain / distributed ledger platforms (e.g., Canton)

Exposure to API management platforms (e.g., Apigee)

Familiarity with resilience patterns (circuit breaker, bulkhead, retry mechanisms)

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) or other automation tooling

Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC

Experience working in regulated environments with compliance and audit awareness
