Position Summary
Rolls-Royce Power Systems delivers mission-critical solutions across power generation, marine, energy, and industrial applications , including diesel and gas engines, hybrid systems, and distributed energy systems .
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Supplier Quality APAC to lead supplier quality performance across a complex regional supply base supporting engine systems, power generation equipment, and critical components .
This role operates at both strategic and operational levels, driving supplier capability, managing risk, and ensuring quality standards in environments where reliability, safety, and uptime are critical.
What you will be doing:
Regional Supplier Quality Leadership
Define and execute APAC supplier quality strategy aligned with global standards and business objectives
Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms for supplier performance
Supplier Development & Performance Management
Drive supplier capability improvement across manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, fabrication, and electrical integration
Lead supplier audits, qualification, and approval processes
Manage supplier performance through structured scorecards and reviews
Supplier Risk & Recovery
Identify high-risk suppliers and lead recovery plans to stabilize quality and delivery performance
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for critical supplier issues
Support escalation management across the supply chain
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure supplier compliance with Rolls-Royce standards and applicable regulatory requirements
Apply structured quality methodologies (e.g. APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D)
Support new product introduction and industrialization activities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations teams on supplier selection and performance management
Provide quality and risk insights to support sourcing decisions
Act as the APAC interface for global supplier quality initiatives
Leadership & Capability Building
Strengthening supplier quality capability across the region
Coach stakeholders and suppliers on quality standards and continuous improvement practices
Position requirements:
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
Significant experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or supplier development within industrial or engineering environments
Experience working with products or systems such as:
Power generation equipment
Diesel or gas engines
Generator sets or distributes energy systems
Heavy industrial or mechanical equipment
Proven track record in:
Supplier audits, qualification, and performance management
Managing supplier quality issues and driving resolution
Working with cross-functional stakeholders in complex environments
Strong knowledge of:
Quality methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, Lean Six Sigma)
Manufacturing processes (e.g. machining, casting, welding, assembly, electrical systems)
Experience working across multiple markets in APAC is advantageous
Experience gained in industries such as power generation, energy systems, heavy equipment, marine, or industrial manufacturing will be advantageous. Equivalent experience in other relevant engineering or manufacturing sectors will also be considered.
