Air Freight Growth Data Analyst, Asia Pacific
About the role
Job Purpose
To support the Head of Air Freight Growth in driving data-led commercial and operational decisions by providing timely, accurate, and actionable insights across pricing, RFQs, and trade lane performance. The role is responsible for analyzing key growth metrics, identifying opportunities and risks, and enabling informed decision-making to optimize network performance, improve win rates, and accelerate profitable growth across the region.
Key Responsibilities
1.Data Analysis & Insight Generation
Analyze shipment, revenue, margin/kg, and win-rate performance across key trade lanes
Identify growth opportunities, underperforming corridors, and key risk areas
Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for leadership
2.Performance Tracking & Reporting
Develop and maintain dashboards for key KPIs (e.g., volume, yield, MTS, pipeline conversion)
Provide regular reporting to VP Head of Growth and regional stakeholders
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and transparency across all reporting
3.Trade Lane & Network Performance Management
Monitor performance at trade lane level (ASPAC–US, intra-Asia, etc.)
Support identification of priority lanes for strategic focus and growth initiatives
Assist in evaluating capacity utilization and carrier performance trends
4.Business Planning & Forecasting
Support forecasting of volume and revenue based on historical trends and pipeline
Provide scenario analysis to support decision-making (e.g., pricing adjustments, market changes)
5.Stakeholder Support & Collaboration
Partner with Pricing, Country teams, ACCs, and RDMs to provide data insights for decision-making
Support preparation of management reviews, growth updates, and executive presentations
Act as a central point for data requests related to growth and commercial performance
6.Process Improvement & Data Governance
Identify inefficiencies in data flows (RFQ tracking, pricing feedback loops) and propose improvements
Support automation initiatives to improve speed and reliability of reporting
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
More than 5 years related experience and knowledge of the Air Freight forwarding business and carrier/supplier landscape
Demonstrates strong communication capabilities
Excellent negotiation skills
Strong problem-solving mentality
Strong ability to understand, calculate and persuasively present pricing techniques and analytics
