About the role
As Director, Strategic Solutions – FEDGOV at Bosch Building Technologies North America (Bosch BT NA), you will plan, organize, direct, and control the activities required for effective management of the FEDGOV vertical. The primary goal is to ensure quality installations and client satisfaction while maintaining fiscal responsibility for the department. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Business Development you will have full financial accountability and responsibility for the FEDGOV business results.
The Director, Strategic Solutions – FEDGOV will work strategically and collaboratively with the existing leadership group to support overall business development, account management, and the execution of complex technology projects, and ensure we deliver the highest level of service for our ever-growing client base while supporting our highly skilled workforce.
Position Responsibilities:
Supervise, develop, coach, guide, evaluate, hold accountable and discipline FEDGOV personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Develop short and long-range sales goals to coincide with company objectives.
Collaborate closely with field, sales and engineering teams to manage project estimation & delivery
Drive Building Technology domain performance outcomes by influencing revenue growth, margin improvement, service agreement execution, and operational efficiency
Determine appropriate staffing levels for FEDGOV and adjust in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure fiscal responsibility of the FEDGOV business results including revenue generation and cost containment, analyze variances from budget, and take corrective actions.
Oversight of bid & tender process for successful selection
Lead high-value vendor bids, managing procurement, and mitigating financial or legal risk
Lead and execute the pursuit strategy for federal contract vehicles and partnerships with small business, SEWP and other strategic Federal business drivers
Maintain communications with clients to include monitoring satisfaction, resolving complaints, resolving collection issues, and other.
Propose and present new solutions for security, integrated systems technologies, and infrastructure.
Be primary responsible for tracking project progress and intervene at a granular level when margin slippage or other risk is noted
Ensure all activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Communicate effectively and timely to resolve company, client, or other inquiries and/or requests.
Promote a culture of responsiveness, accountability, and customer advocacy
Coordinate and collaborate with our centralized Innovation Hubs; Operations, Strategic Sales, Technology and Service
Ensure all Cyber Security processes align with Bosch BT NA's policy
Maintain deep expertise in Building Technology systems, including controls architectures, integration protocols, analytics tools, and connected building ecosystems
Identify emerging customer needs and future service offerings to support Bosch BT NA's growth trajectory.
Conduct performance management throughout the year including annual performance evaluations and compensation planning for department
Partner with Human Resource to ensure the right people are hired, trained, and supported throughout their career with Bosch Building Technologies
Drive project safety, quality, and efficiency first culture
Maintain and protect assigned company assets.
Maintain professional licensing as required
Available to work outside of, or in addition to, normal businesses hours.

Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in a high-level project delivery role overseeing complex security integration / building technology projects
10+ years of experience selling complex integrated solutions involving access control, CCTV, intrusion systems, structured cabling, RTLS, nurse call, PA systems, fence detection, digital signage, corporate AV, or other related systems
Strong background in driving commercial growth, including market/competitive analysis and business development
Demonstrated experience in contract pursuits such as ESS8, MATOC, competitive set asides and FCL clearance protocols
Previous and progressive experience in Project Management and Project Management leadership
Experience selling into FEDGOV programs throughout US
Knowledge of the following technologies: IP networks, low voltage electronics, power and communications, Windows XP or 7 workstations, Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of selling in related industries (IT, Telecommunications, engineering, technology)
Experience with enterprise security solutions such as Avigilon, Axis Genetec, Lenel, and Milestone
Previous direct commercial sales, estimating, or design experience
Experience with the following technologies; Client-Servicer security applications, MS SQL databases, Server and Storage Infrastructure.
Post-secondary education; University degree in Business
Working knowledge of Microsoft D365
Physical Demands:

Must be able to effectively communicate in English, (ie see, hear, speak and write clearly) to communicate with colleagues and/or customers
Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment
Sitting, standing, walking in office environments and construction sites
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)
Working Conditions:
In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate
Will be required to be on site with customers or contractors, with or without colleagues to manage the expectations and deliverables. Sites range from general office environments to new construction.
Driving to customer sites is required
Limited overnight travel may be required
Additional Information:
Compensation: $175,000 - $225,000 + Commission (DOE)
Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
Travel Requirements: Overnight domestic travel may be required; 20-30%
