Why does the job exist?

The Rural Health Innovation Fund (RHIF) Grant Analyst will:

Support stakeholder engagement, community coordination, and implementation activities associated with the Rural Health Innovation Fund (RHIF) initiative within the New Mexico Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program;

Support implementation of the RHT governance structure by serving as a liaison between the Program Management Office (PMO), providers, community organizations, local stakeholders, and external partners to support effective implementation and ongoing stakeholder engagement aligned with CMS requirements and State priorities;

Coordinate with community-based organizations, providers, Tribal partners, local stakeholders, contractors, subrecipients, and state agencies to support approved projects and community engagement activities.

How does it get done?

The Rural Health Innovation Fund (RHIF) Grant Analyst is responsible for:

Supporting engagement with rural, frontier, Tribal, and community-based organizations to assist with development, coordination, and implementation of community-designed and community-led projects;

Developing stakeholder-facing materials, presentations, implementation summaries, outreach materials, and engagement documentation;

Monitoring community engagement activities, implementation progress, operational risks, and stakeholder feedback, and elevate issues to PMO leadership as appropriate;

Collaborating with PMO leadership, operations, communications, finance, procurement, and data and evaluation staff to support aligned implementation and engagement across the RHT Program portfolio;

Supporting ongoing stakeholder engagement, sustainability planning, and implementation coordination for the Rural Health Innovation Fund.

Work is performed for the Health Care Authority, the RHT Program Management Office, community organizations, providers, Tribal partners, contractors, subrecipients, state agencies, CMS, and program stakeholders to support implementation and stakeholder engagement activities associated with the Rural Health Innovation Fund (RHIF).

Ideal Candidate

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant experience as it relates to the essential duties of the position. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling seven (7) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in office, community, and field-based settings with extensive use of a computer, phone, virtual meeting platforms, and Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) equipment. Position may require prolonged sitting, coordination of virtual and in-person meetings, participation in community engagement activities, and frequent in-state travel for stakeholder meetings, site visits, outreach activities, trainings, or implementation support.
