About the role
The web operations manager is responsible for maintaining, managing, and optimizing ABM websites and servers to ensure functionality, security, and a positive user experience. This position ensures that a website is functional, secure, user-friendly, and aligned with organizational objectives. The role combines technical expertise, creative design, analytical skills, and collaboration to maintain high-quality online experiences and optimize web performance
Overall ABM website technology owner and ensuring maintenance of governance standards and policies
Cybersecurity Oversight: Proactive monitoring and maintenance of all web properties, ensuring patches, updates, and threat prevention are consistently applied.
Compliance Management: Ownership of Data Privacy, Consent Modules, and Banner Management, ensuring all web assets meet ABM’s internal standards as well as external regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
User Provisioning/Deprovisioning: Ensuring only authorized personnel have access to critical systems and web properties: promptly handling terminations, onboarding, and changes.
DNS/Domain Management: Fast, accurate facilitation of all domain and DNS changes, preventing outages and ensuring secure traffic routing for all campaigns and initiatives.
System Monitoring: Continuous oversight of uptime, SSL certificates, backups, and web infrastructure health, with rapid incident response to resolve or escalate issues.
Workspace Provisioning: Management of web techstack resources to support ABM’s workspace (plugins, integrations, SSO, security needs, etc.).
Vendor Collaboration: Serve as primary point of contact with vendors, ensuring their work is aligned with internal protocols and they have necessary but limited access.
Internal cross functional stakeholder coordination for web requests, translation business requirements to technical specifications, supporting CAB processes and managing escalations
Technical Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records of all web integrations, security protocols, and system changes: providing institutional memory that vendors or new staff would not have.
Quality Assurance: Participate in compliance and technical QA for new launches, redesigns, and site updates, preventing costly errors or compliance gaps from reaching production.
Process Improvement: Actively look for ways to streamline and automate IT/marketing workflows, improving speed without sacrificing security.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field required
10+ years of experience as enterprise web technical management
Relevant certifications in web development, server management, or cybersecurity
Prior experience in website administration, server management, or web development
Experience supporting standardizing processes across complex organizations
Strong background in system architecture and integrations
Demonstrated success leading high-performing technical teams
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of database management and architecture
Proficiency with industry standard content management systems
Knowledge of web programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and familiarity with server-side technologies like ASP.NET or MySQL
Understanding web analytics, SEO, and usability to optimize user experience
Experience with system integration and API development
Knowledge of cloud technologies and architecture
Familiarity AI technologies
