Job Summary
The Marketing Senior Specialist is responsible for driving the growth of the Front Line Care (FLC) business in Japan through strategic product marketing, market intelligence, and close collaboration with Global Marketing.
Working closely with the FLC Business Lead, this role supports new product introductions, product lifecycle management, and commercialization activities. By providing customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market analysis, the Marketing Specialist ensures that business decisions are data‑driven and aligned with market needs.
This position acts as the voice of the Japanese market within Global Marketing, shaping portfolio development and ensuring strategies resonate locally. The role also includes Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement, congress planning, scientific marketing, communications, and sales enablement through training and marketing tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Product Marketing
Develop and execute marketing plans aligned with the FLC business strategy.
Support product lifecycle management and new product launches in collaboration with Global Marketing and cross‑functional teams.
Prepare launch materials, campaigns, and portfolio development plans.
Identify new business opportunities and contribute to portfolio expansion.
Global Marketing Collaboration
Serve as the primary liaison with Global Marketing for product activities.
Provide customer feedback and market insights from Japan.
Adapt global strategies and promotional materials for the Japanese market.
Participate in product launch planning and global marketing meetings.
Market Research
Conduct market research to capture customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
Gather insights through customer visits and field activities.
Analyze sales and market data to support strategic decisions.
Deliver regular market reports and presentations.
KOL and Marketing Activities
Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
Support congresses, exhibitions, educational events, and marketing programs.
Develop marketing materials and sales tools.
Contribute to clinical and scientific marketing initiatives.
Sales Support
Provide product training and marketing support for sales teams and distributors.
Develop sales tools and customer presentation materials.
Support promotional campaigns and product launches.
Business Support
Prepare monthly marketing reports and updates.
Support forecasting, pricing analysis, and marketing projects.
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, and other internal teams to achieve business objectives.
Other Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and healthcare requirements.
Maintain knowledge of the Medical Device Fair Trade Code and relevant regulations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the marketing organization.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Travel domestically and internationally as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the FLC Business Lead.
Reporting Structure
Reports to: FLC Business Lead
Works closely with: Global Marketing, Sales, cross‑functional teams, Key Opinion Leaders, distributors, healthcare professionals
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in medical device marketing, product management, or commercial functions
Experience supporting new product launches or commercialization activities preferred
Experience conducting market research and competitive analysis
Experience working with healthcare professionals, distributors, or dealer networks
Experience supporting congresses, KOL engagement, or scientific marketing activities preferred
Intermediate English proficiency preferred; business‑level proficiency is a plus
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Qualifications and Skills
Strong background in product marketing, market research, or related commercial functions
Analytical mindset with strong project management skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with Global Marketing and cross‑functional teams
Business‑level English communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
