Role Summary
This role is responsible for managing accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit activities for the entity. The incumbent will oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, support process improvement initiatives, and manage a team while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Accounting
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities
Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and fixed asset accounting
Support preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with Ind AS, Companies Act requirements, and US GAAP reporting requirements
Provide accounting guidance on routine and moderately complex transactions
Perform analytical review of balance sheet and PandL accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Audit and Compliance
Lead statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory reviews
Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of audits
Monitor closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other applicable regulatory requirements
Support maintenance and enhancement of internal controls and compliance processes
Process Improvement and Operational Excellence
Drive process improvements and automation opportunities across accounting and reporting processes
Support standardization and efficiency initiatives within the finance function
Leverage ERP systems and reporting tools to improve accuracy, controls, and productivity
Team Management and Stakeholder Engagement
Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
Collaborate with tax, treasury, legal, HR, and business teams to support organizational objectives
Communicate financial and compliance matters effectively to management and key stakeholders
Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant (CA)
10+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, and compliance
Experience managing teams and leading finance processes
Experience handling statutory audits, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting requirements
Experience in multinational organizations or GCC/shared service environments preferred
Technical Skills
Solid knowledge of Ind AS, Indian GAAP/US GAAP, Companies Act, and auditing practices
Good understanding of internal controls and financial processes
Proficiency in ERP systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel
Leadership Competencies
Team management and stakeholder engagement skills
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment
