Your Responsibilities
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and payroll review processes. You will own key aspects of the month-end close, including account reconciliations, accruals, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The role will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to resolve billing disputes, improve cash flow, and support business objectives. You will manage customer and vendor relationships, review contracts for billing and payment accuracy, and ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls. Additionally, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team while driving process improvements, supporting audits, and contributing to financial reporting initiatives.
What You Need to Succeed
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with at least five years of progressive accounting experience in areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, or general accounting. Prior leadership experience is required, including managing or mentoring accounting professionals and driving team performance. A strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, accruals, internal controls, and multi-entity environments is essential. Candidates should be comfortable reviewing contracts, resolving complex billing and payment issues, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Advanced analytical skills, attention to detail, proficiency with Excel and ERP systems, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment are critical. Experience supporting advertising, media, publishing, or other service-based organizations is highly desirable.
