Role Description

This is a team lead role within the PB Business Finance team based out of DIPL Mumbai and will be reporting to Director in Mumbai Finance and PB Business Finance Lead in Germany.

The core responsibility of the incumbent will be to manage Business Finance functions for PB businesses in across regions / Global Location, including oversight on financial controls, revenue flash, month-end close and support to new business initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

Revenue Flash - working with system data available and information from Business COOs, Treasury & Regional Finance colleagues to estimate accurate revenue numbers - this is a critical activity from a business perspective, in the absence of daily P&L reporting for PB businesses.

Financial Control for Global PB Business Finance - ensuring ledger close managed within tight timelines for all the PB businesses supported. Ensuring regular control and monitoring for Revenue Actuals vs Flash, Balance Sheet substantiation, Cost/TP accrual, Disclosures etc.

Working with Regional / Country finance, Operations, Finance Risk/CRDU and Accounting Close teams in monitoring and managing accounting, regulatory and risk reporting related topics

New business initiatives: Understanding business requirements, regular partnership with Product Management, Technology, other CFO and Change teams to help with rollout of new business initiatives and platforms.

Manage 15 members team which involves coaching, guiding, and career development for a mix of senior and junior finance team members. Encourage and foster innovation and adoption of automation tools with a focus on efficiency and value add to the process.

Your skills and experience

Qualified Finance professional with CA or MBA in Finance; with minimum 10 years work experience in a bank or financial institution in Finance functions

Good understanding of the global financial services industry and specifically of transaction banking

Very strong problem solving, analytical & commercial acumen required to support the business

Demonstrate Initiative and ability to successfully navigate a global financial institution

High level of motivation and energy; adherence to highest quality standards; ability to multi-task and work independently

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Good understanding relevant DB systems required for the role or ability to pick up / utilize where not already there.

Strong technical skill and ability to work with Financial data, applications data and MS Excel.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
