Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced .NET / C# Automation Engineer with strong software development and automation expertise to build and enhance enterprise certificate lifecycle solutions. This role is ideal for developers with hands-on experience in C#, .NET, PowerShell, REST APIs, and automation, along with exposure to PKI, TLS/SSL certificate management, or enterprise security infrastructure.

Prior experience with Venafi Trust Protection Platform (TPP) is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with solid development experience and a foundational understanding of PKI and certificate management will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using C#, .NET, and PowerShell.

Build automation for certificate provisioning, renewal, revocation, and lifecycle management.

Develop and integrate REST APIs to support certificate management workflows.

Customize and enhance enterprise certificate management platforms, including Venafi TPP where applicable.

Collaborate with Security, PKI, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams to automate certificate operations.

Develop reusable tools and utilities to simplify certificate lifecycle management.

Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency.

Troubleshoot application, automation, and certificate-related issues across Windows and Linux environments.

Participate in application design, code reviews, testing, and production deployments.

Document technical solutions, automation workflows, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of software development experience using C# and .NET.

Strong experience developing automation using PowerShell.

Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and secure coding practices.

Experience working with Windows Server environments.

Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.

Exposure to PKI concepts, SSL/TLS certificates, digital certificates, encryption, or certificate lifecycle management.

Understanding of certificate provisioning, renewal, revocation, and certificate authorities.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Venafi Trust Protection Platform (TPP) or other enterprise certificate management solutions.

Experience integrating with Venafi APIs or similar security platforms.

Knowledge of PKI infrastructure, Certificate Authorities (CA), HSMs, and machine identity management.

Experience with Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, or configuration management tools.

Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized applications.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Background in DevSecOps or Security Automation.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are primarily looking for strong .NET/C# developers who have experience building enterprise automation solutions and possess a working knowledge of PKI, SSL/TLS certificates, and certificate lifecycle management. Direct experience with Venafi is desirable but not required; candidates who can quickly learn and customize the platform while leveraging their software development expertise will be highly successful in this role.
