General Responsibility

The Planning analyst ensures the proper amount of material is on hand to support the needs of the operation while maintaining company goals on inventory levels. The planning analyst will be responsible for setting and changing production schedules to maximize output and assure product availability.

Job Responsibilities

Will be responsible for setting up and changing production schedules to maximize output and assure product availability.

Maintain a master schedule that is within weekly capacity and meets or exceeds the needs of customers.

Monitor inventory levels to maintain required stock for downstream operations.

Work with production department to complete production orders and reduce inventories as needed.

Communicate backorders or potential backorders with responsible supply planner(s) and work with purchasing on raw material shortages / excess.

Attend and actively participate in daily expedite and production meetings. Responsible to support/develop the daily activities required to maximize customer service, inventory and absorption targets.

Purchase necessary components to support marker assembly and packaging operations. This includes creating Purchase Orders and confirming receipt of products.

Support Maryville rework projects through developing and providing the weekly rework schedule. Placing indirect POs for material to support rework production.

Collaborate with supply planner(s) in developing the monthly production plan and absorption call.

Maintain the scheduling tool(s) and drive yearly improvements in the scheduling process.

Other duties as assigned to support the business operations.

Job Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

SAP

MS Software- proficient in Access, Excel, PowerPoint.

Ignition interface

Well organized with ability to manage through exception and data tracking.

Must be able to work efficiently and with good time management skills

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Ability to work well with members in other departments

Minimum Qualifications

Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during working hours.

Education

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

1 -2 years’ experience in production planning, scheduling preferred

SAP R/3, SNP (PP/DS), WMS, BW preferred.

High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred.
