JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Manager supports Direct Connection propulsion engineering development by owning the processes, documentation, and cross‑functional coordination required to deliver high‑quality performance upgrade products in a fast-paced environment. This role ensures calibration datasets, release documentation, supplier deliverables, and field‑issue investigations are executed.
The successful candidate will work across calibration, controls, validation, regulatory, warranty, suppliers, and external facilities to maintain product integrity throughout the development cycle. This position requires strong organizational discipline, calibration and product lifecycle awareness, and the ability to operate effectively in fast–moving development environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Program execution: Maintain daily program cadence, manage the risk register, and own milestone delivery for propulsion, calibration, and upfit releases.
Validation and release governance: Ensure DFMEA and DVP&R completion, plan and secure validation resources (dyno, HIL, vehicle), and own release documentation and record retention.
Post Launch governance: Lead release triage, organize cross‑functional root‑cause teams, manage warranty/aftermarket issue resolution, and drive running change closure.
Supplier and upfit coordination: Drive supplier engineering escalations, ensure supplier deliverables meet OEM req, and manage integration of upfit kits and crate/aftermarket installs.
Cross‑functional alignment: Act as the operational interface between design leads, program management, manufacturing, purchasing, and service to ensure requirements flow‑down and release timing is met.
Continuous improvement: Implement root‑cause analysis and process standardization to reduce rework, warranty exposure, and post launch stabilization.
