Location: Porto, Portugal

Work Model: Hybrid – 2 to 3 days per week on-site

Rate Between €2200 - 2700 RV / €1300 - 1600 CTI

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate Quality Automation Engineer who is committed to improving software quality through modern test automation strategies and Agile collaboration.

In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions while working closely with developers, product owners, and QA professionals. You will play a key role in promoting quality-first practices, improving test coverage, and supporting continuous delivery within a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.

Create functional, regression, integration, and performance test scenarios and test cases.

Promote software quality best practices within Agile teams.

Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies and Agile rituals.

Support Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.

Perform test execution, defect analysis, and root cause investigation.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and automation frameworks.

Share knowledge and collaborate with the QA community to promote testing excellence.

Ensure automation suites remain reliable, maintainable, and scalable.

Mandatory Requirements

Technical Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.

Strong hands-on experience with Selenium.

Solid experience with Java for test automation.

Experience using Cucumber and Gherkin.

Strong knowledge of BDD and TDD methodologies.

Good knowledge of SQL for database validation and testing.

Experience designing automated functional and regression test suites.

Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).

Advanced English (Mandatory).

Nice to Have

Experience with Cypress.

Experience testing REST APIs.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Experience with performance or integration testing.

Familiarity with Git and version control tools.
