We are currently seeking a Windchill Oracle DBA to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nādu (IN-TN), India (IN).

We are looking for an experienced Windchill Oracle DBA to support Oracle databases for PTC Windchill environments.

The candidate will develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle SQL, PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, views, and database objects.

The role involves working with the Windchill data model, CAD structures, BOM hierarchies, version-controlled objects, and large product structures.

The candidate will create SQL scripts for data validation, reconciliation, integrity checks, and metadata analysis.

They will tune custom SQL, reports, and application-generated queries for better performance and scalability.

The role requires analyzing execution plans and using tools such as AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Monitor, and SQL Trace.

The candidate will monitor long-running SQL statements, wait events, locking, blocking, and concurrency issues.

They will review indexing strategies, optimizer statistics, histograms, and DBMS_STATS improvements.

The role includes designing optimized reporting views and SQL extraction strategies for BI, ETL, and downstream integrations.

The candidate will administer Oracle databases supporting Windchill, including memory, tablespaces, redo/undo, Oracle Text, XML DB, and partitioning.

They will support backup, recovery, cloning, refresh, and disaster recovery using RMAN, Data Pump, RAC, ASM, and Active Data Guard.

The candidate will assist with Oracle upgrades, patching, Windchill upgrades, schema validation, migrations, and environment refreshes.

They will perform database maintenance, index health analysis, archival planning, Purge Manager support, and growth planning.

The role requires collaboration with Windchill application teams to review database designs, customizations, SQL code, and integrations.

The candidate will perform root cause analysis for production issues and drive continuous performance improvements.

Required experience includes 8+ years in Oracle DBA support for enterprise applications, preferably PTC Windchill.

Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, Linux/Unix, and shell scripting is required.

Oracle OCP, PTC Windchill certification, and experience with OEM, RAC, ASM, and Active Data Guard are preferred.
