We are currently looking for a Technical Safety Senior Engineer to join our Engineering team and contribute to challenging Oil & Gas projects in an international environment.
Your responsibilities
As a Technical Safety Senior Engineer, you will:
Perform Technical Safety Engineering activities for onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
Carry out risk assessments including HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, LOPA, SIL, FERA, EERA and SIMOPS.
Develop and review fire protection philosophies and fire & gas detection systems.
Prepare and review Technical Safety engineering documentation, including design basis, calculations, specifications and reports.
Support Hazardous Area Classification studies.
Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and safety audits.
Collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Ensure compliance with international safety standards and project specifications.
Support multiple engineering projects simultaneously while proactively identifying technical risks and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
Master's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Safety or related Engineering.
At least 10 years of experience in Technical Safety Engineering within Oil & Gas projects (Onshore and Offshore).
Strong knowledge of:
HAZOP
HAZID
QRA
LOPA
SIL
Fire Protection Engineering
Fire & Gas Detection Systems
Hazardous Area Classification
Safety Critical Elements (SCE)
Risk Assessment
Experience with engineering software such as DNV PHAST, PHAWorks, DsPED, AutoCAD or similar.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Availability to work in Rome.
Nice to have
Technical Safety certifications.
Experience in international EPC projects.
Previous experience with major Oil & Gas operators or EPC contractors.
