USA TODAY CO. Inc., a top 20 digital-media company, seeks an iOS Developer to join the USA TODAY CO Native Apps Engineering team. We are based in Tysons Corner, VA, but we are a distributed team, and there is no need for relocation in order to join us.

The mobile team is responsible for developing and delivering best-in-class mobile solutions scalable throughout multiple USA TODAY CO brands, including USA TODAY. Solutions include in-house and managed-vendor approaches and target all mobile devices from a native-application perspective. All USA TODAY CO mobile initiatives are extremely high profile and must utilize state-of-the-art technologies.

Responsibilities

Timely development, testing, and release of mobile applications for iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS in support of USA TODAY CO. mobile initiatives.

Pay keen attention to detail to comply with USA TODAY CO.'s high standards of quality.

Work with other developers, designers, and product/business managers to develop new features consistent with the product roadmap.

Learn and absorb new technologies quickly, be a strong team player, and rapidly adapt to changing business and customer demands.

Requirements

Specific duties include building Native iOS applications using the latest technologies and frameworks,

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is a must, and a degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.

Minimum 4 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years of iOS experience.

Knowledge of Objective-C and Swift programming languages is a must.

. Knowledge of Swift concurrency is a must.

Knowledge of Flutter and Dart is a major plus.

Strong object-oriented design, programming, and debugging skills.

Experience with GIT or other version control systems is a must.

Demonstrable experience with Xcode and iOS SDK is a must

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $160,000 and $175,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
