About the role

As a Senior Developer, you will connect the Qualys Cloud Platform (vulnerability scanner) with the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) module. You will bridge security teams and IT operations to automate vulnerability detection, prioritisation, and remediation, ensuring seamless integration and workflow automation across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed

Integration Configuration

Configure the Qualys Vulnerability Integration app (from the ServiceNow Store) to import vulnerability data, host detections, and risk classifications.

Data Mapping & Normalisation

Map Qualys assets to the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to reconcile and identify Configuration Items (CIs).

Set up and manage scheduled jobs to automate the flow of vulnerability findings from Qualys to ServiceNow.

Workflow Automation

Configure remediation assignment rules to automatically assign Vulnerable Items (VIs) to the appropriate IT owners.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Monitor and resolve API limitations or data discrepancies in the integration, ensuring data integrity.

Supporting Modules

Implement additional modules such as Qualys Container Security or Configuration Compliance (CSPM) to improve cloud security posture.

Experience

You have 8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and integrations.

You have worked extensively with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response and CMDB modules.

Technical Expertise

You are proficient in ServiceNow Store applications and VR module configuration.

You have strong knowledge of the Qualys VMDR (Vulnerability Management, Detection, and Response) platform.

You are skilled in REST APIs, JavaScript (for Scripted REST APIs/Transform Maps), and JSON.

You understand vulnerability management workflows, risk classification, and asset management.

You collaborate effectively with both security teams and IT operations.

You troubleshoot proactively and maintain data integrity under pressure.

You drive automation and continuous improvement in integration workflows.
